PMaurer HeadshotPatrick Maurer is a dynamic speaker who has already presented workshops and entertained audiences of all ages in twenty-five states, in such venues as Six Flags Magic Mountain, and to such renowned student groups like Key Club International, FBLA, DECA, and 4-H.

After emerging as active leader in high school where he worked as a Conflict Manager, HOBY Ambassador, Link Crew leader, class president, ASB Senator, and member of the Campbell Union HS District Student Advisory Board, Patrick was recognized by Leigh High School with the Principal’s Cup as well as the creation of a perpetual award named in his honor. Key Club International and Arizona State University further recognized Patrick’s outstanding service as a Key Club President, Top Ten Lt. Governor, and Distinguished Governor of the California-Nevada-Hawaii District of Key Club International by awarding him the Arizona State University/KCI Leadership Scholarship.

Patrick accepted the four year scholarship and continued to excel as a leader at Arizona State University. He worked on campus as a Programming Assistant for Student Leadership Programs, an Assistant Supervisor for Student Success Programs, and a Student Coordinator for ASU’s Welcome Week. Patrick actively volunteered as the Vice-Chair for the Arizona HOBY Leadership Seminar, an ASU campus tour guide, and the Vice-President of Membership for the award-winning ASU Student Alumni Association. ASU recognized Patrick’s involvement by making him a member of ASU’s Homecoming Royalty Court and later naming Patrick the Outstanding Male Leader of his graduating class.

After graduating Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Communication from the Hugh Downs School of Human Communication, Patrick returned to San Jose, California to complete the Single Subject Teaching Credential Program at San Jose State University. While taking education courses, he also studied improvisational comedy for a year before becoming a cast member of Comedy Sportz San Jose where he performed family-friendly improvisational comedy for four years. Patrick taught English at a local high school constantly finding new ways to make material connect to students lives before leaving the classroom to create PMaurer Communication LLC.

Patrick now resides in Phoenix, Arizona, where he serves as the Vice President for the Leadership Scholarship Program Chapter of the ASU Alumni Association. In his spare time, he enjoys theatre, hiking, film, and cheering on his alma mater at sporting events.

Two of Patrick’s passions remain speaking and training. His unique blend of humor and perspective on real-life experiences continues to entertain and enrich audiences of all ages. Patrick believes that education and leadership are life long journeys—so far he has really enjoyed his path.
