Quality of Work

I’m in Reno, Nevada for the next few days attending the California Association of Directors of Activities Annual Convention. It’s a great gathering of some of my favorite people I see throughout the year including many of my friends from outside California.

The convention takes place at the Grand Sierra Resort, just a short shuttle ride from the Reno Airport.

My shuttle driver today loved his job, and it totally showed in his quality of work.

He smiled and greeted each person, helped them with their luggage, but then went out of his way to provide information about what was happening (we needed to wait for the last few passengers), what we should expect (it’s a short 5 minute ride), and what we could do at the hotel.

He was recently retired and just moved to Reno 11 months ago. He was personable and passionate about his day.

I take several hotel or rental car shuttles throughout the year.

All get me from Point A to Point B.

But some do it in style.

What do you love about your work? your service? your day?

Let that shine and share it with others–maybe it’ll make their experience that much better

Happy Wednesday!
