Activities Amidst Adversity
I developed this workshop in 2010 with a former colleague. During the 2008-2009 school year, the campus was hit hard by the deaths of several students and a staff member. My colleague reached out to me for ideas and I reached out to my connections in the activities/leadership/counseling realm. The result is this workshop handout. My hope? You have this handout buried in a filing cabinet and that you never have to use it…
…but if tragedy does strike, this handout will help serve as a guide in that challenging time.
Active Appreciation
This is one of my favorite workshops to present. I struggled with thanking/recognition in high school, doing it often only as a way to say “goodbye.” What if we made it an active process? This workshop handout contains a whole bunch of ideas to help you transform your school AND enjoy the process in the meantime.
